From the Pastor's Desk

“But each day the Lord pours his unfailing love upon me, and through each night I sing his songs, praying to God who gives me life.” Ps. 42:8.

When you recognise that God’s love is continually being poured on us in the day…you discover that even in “night” season, you can respond back to His love with songs and prayers of petition and gratitude.  You have life…the life He gave and is giving to you, in each breath.

Job 35:10 “But no-one says, 'Where is God my Maker, who gives songs in the night….”Ps. 77:6 says, “I remembered my songs in the night.”  These verses tell us that God has given us a ‘night-song’ that we are meant to sing.  It is a secret weapon, powerful to bring change to your soul and your life, if you but use it.

No one can sing your song.  No one can sing it for you.  You must make the faith choice, the decision to act on God’s Word…to sing that song.  Circumstances and your feelings seem so contrary to singing.  You make the decision to rule over your feelings and you take that step to simply ‘sing praises to God’ in the night season.

Is He the God of the day?  Is He not also, the God of the night?  Of course, He is!  Tell Him that He is still your God, in the middle of your night!  To do otherwise, is to surrender to the dominance of your feelings, surrender to doubt and unbelief, and beckon to even more negative outcomes.

You are reading this because He wanted you to be reminded of a strategy for bringing Him close and securing victory.  He has not forgotten you!  He waits to ‘enter the sanctuary of your ‘night-song’ and enclose you with fresh grace and favour.

Don’t delay…don’t try to ‘outwait’ the trouble.  Draw near to Him and He will draw near to you!
