From the Pastor's Desk

“…a woman was there who had been crippled by a spirit….”
Luke 13:11.

Sometimes a believer faces a spiritual attack that affects his body.

Sometimes a believer faces a spiritual attack that affects his mind.

Sometimes a believer faces a spiritual attack that affects his spirit.

In all of these circumstances, that attack can leave the unwitting believer, crippled.  Only discernment can enable the believer to respond wisely to such attacks.

All sin, sickness, disease, death, and ill, in this world, is and was, sourced in Satan. This may be common knowledge but often believers forget to respond to all of the above, as though it was and is a spirit-attack.

We can choose, in our unwitting, unknowing, unrealising state of mind, to choose other responses.  They, at best, provide temporary relief.  We are not to be ignorant of Satan’s schemes and we are to quench every fiery dart that Satan shoots at us.  Our instinctive response is unwitting accommodation. No one is ‘there’ to tell us, “You are accommodating what God never, ever, intended you to accommodate!”  Luke 10:19 tells us that we have power over all the works of the enemy and NOTHING will harm us.

We need to learn how to live safe and free from all harm. We need to anchor our thought lives in Luke 10:19 and Ps. 112.  We need to anchor our spirit in worship, prayer, listening and meditation.  We need to step further out in loving others.  No crippling here…
