“If you do not stand firm in your faith, you will not stand at all.'" Isa. 7:9. “Have faith in the Lord your God and you will be upheld….” 2 Chron. 20:20.
Standing firm in life is vital…no one likes to fall over, stumble or crash and burn.
We continue to walk in stability and peace, winning our battles and celebrating victory, when we stand, walk and run in faith.
Faith is the irreducible minimum for succeeding in handling life’s challenges. Yes, we do need to walk in holiness, forgiveness, and selflessness as well. But you can walk in holiness, selflessness and forgiveness and still fall…simply because you are not walking in the ‘certainty of faith’ that God has prescribed and provided for you.
Mentally, emotionally, and spiritually we are ‘held in His embrace,’ when we are believing Him and His precious promises. He cannot help us if we are not trusting Him…we evidence we are trusting Him when we meditate (go back over and over what He has promised), we speak words of faith, and we act on anything He tells us to do, as we enquire of Him for any strategies we are to employ from our side.
Often, we can take some elements of faith and leave off other elements of faith. To fail in speaking faith, (as the first generation of Israel did re: Canaan), or fail to act as though God is working on our behalf, we lose out. Our manifested victory and joy are delayed, and our patience stretched unnecessarily.
Believe, speak, act and stand…in faith!
