From the Pastor's Desk

“Unless the Lord had given me help…When I said, "My foot is slipping," your love, O Lord, supported me. When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought joy to my soul.” Ps. 94:17-19.

Every believer requires God’s help…even when they do not think they do.

He is the Sustainer of all things and all people.  Depending on the Lord is a daily, hourly, momentary life.  Sometimes the ‘press’ of life’s circumstances weighs heavily on the mind.

Circumstances are not currently positive.  Energy levels seem to be low.  Encouragement seems hard to find from the other earthly sources.  Time pressures add to the weight of unpleasant stuff.  It is, in this ‘scene of life,’ that there must be an exchange.

The anxiety, fear, worry, stress, discouragement, negativity and despair are exchanged for the help, love, kindness, intervention, support and consolation we need.  No one was meant to ‘carry such stuff’ through life.  It seems such a simple thing to turn to the Lord, yet so often, many fail to take that simple step.  Leaning our whole weight on Him, by bowing before His throne, exchange takes place.

Your prayer, intercession, speaking in tongues, worship, and loving others, is God’s design for that ‘season.’  The ‘old person that you used to be,’ tries to drag you into the ‘cave of self-pity, the cave of self-protection, and the cave of despair.’  Arise and lean on Him…
