From the Pastor's Desk

“…when his lamp shone upon my head and by his light I walked through darkness!” Job 29:3.

Every believer has seasons when it seems dark…the way ahead seems obscured by ignorance.

Questions fill the mind that seem to go unanswered.  Yet God still abides faithful to His Word…He never, ever, ever leaves us! How do we get through these times safely?

God who is Light shines Himself as The Light on our pathway.  Sometimes we get only the amount of light or insight that we need to take the next step.  It is called the ‘walk of faith.’  We instinctively want to know how far, how long and most significantly, “how” will His promises come to pass.  Yet, God lovingly and carefully takes us step by step toward victory, provision, breakthrough and deliverance.

It is our privilege to travel with Him who is The Way.  In the fight of faith, we face the warring thoughts of the enemy and we face the warring action of the enemy, in the circumstantial threats that come our way.

We learn to wait for the wisdom that enables our safe journey one step at a time.  Job said it. “…when by His (your) light I walked through the darkness!” He knew what it meant to face unanswered questions…to face sickness, disaster, and distress…the ‘Somehow’ of success was and is the Light of Heaven simply waiting for us to apply for it at the throne of grace!
