From the Pastor's Desk

“Therefore, repent and return, so that your sins may be wiped away, in order that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord….” Acts 3:19-20 NASU.

There are many ‘times and seasons’ in life.  The Bible talks about ‘times of blessing, times of rejoicing, times of trouble, times of fasting, times of distress, etc.  In all, of our ‘times,’ we remember that the most life-refreshing dimension of our existence, is His Presence. We hold a value system that echoes the truth of Scripture that says, “to those that believe, He is precious.” 1 Pet.2:7 NKJV. The preciousness of Jesus, conveyed into our lives by the Holy Spirit, is in His felt presence.

As you ‘come to Him’ in faith today…as you come to Him in worship today…as you behold Him today…as you listen for His voice today…and His ‘felt Presence’ comes to you…relax, rest, and simply abide or wait in His Presence. It ‘restores your soul’ and gives rest to your body and mind.  Anxiousness, oppression, and discouragement give way, to the life-comforting words of the Saviour.  The pharmacy of Heaven dispenses into your ‘inner man’ and you are strengthened, healed, and energised. Immanuel, God with us, God in us, God for us, God through us and God upon us…makes us whole.

Simple, but profound…times of refreshing come from availing ourselves of His Presence…go for it! Ps. 34:1 NKJV; Ps. 22:3 KJV.
