From the Pastor's Desk

“They took palm branches and went out to meet him, shouting, "Hosanna!" "Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!" "Blessed is the King of Israel!" John 12:13.

“The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon; planted in the house of the Lord, they will flourish in the courts of our God. They will still bear fruit in old age, they will stay fresh and green….”  Ps. 92:12-14.

On this so-called, Palm Sunday, we celebrate traditionally Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem before His crucifixion.  One day, all of God’s people, from all the nations of the earth, will stand as One family of believers, with palm branches.  They will be, once again, honouring Him, the King of All Kings.

Rev. 7:9. Palm branches have been associated with rejoicing through the ages.  Believers are meant to be like these symbols in their flourishing, youthful, righteous lives.
Ps. 92:12-15.

As such, they hold the symbols of such status and rejoice greatly in the one who has brought them such supernatural life.  Let us welcome Him afresh as we believe we possess what He died to give us!
