From the Pastor's Desk

“Worship the Lord your God, and his blessing will be on your food and water. I will take away sickness from among you….” Ex. 23:25.

The promise given above is most amazing! How is worship connected to such blessing and such Divine health? Worship is offering your life back to God in various ways:

in obedience, in praise and vocal adoration, in service to others, in loving the Lost, etc.  It is as though God is making an exchange—our worship and honouring of Him, for the release of His life into our lives.  It is the Divine exchange.

Many do not see the great significance of worship.  They have never ‘left the earth’ in their worship time and experienced Him in life-altering ways.  The sense of God’s presence as they go through the day, in their day-to-day work lives, is missing.  He doesn’t really seem like Immanuel, God with us.  Yet our Heavenly Father so longs to express His love for us and to us, as we do the same with Him.  We love Him by word and deed.

We can live at a different level of blessing and health if we choose to live a lifestyle of worship to the Lord.  Worship is what is meant to connect us with God dynamically or powerfully.  Our faith that He is ‘there’ when we come with praise, adoration and service, make His Presence, felt.  We can hear and see what we wouldn’t otherwise see and hear.

As you close your eyes and focus on Him, let your mind be set upon Him.  Open your heart to hear His voice by letting His thoughts come into your mind.  His voice is heard while you meditate on Him.  Worship, in every-day life is powerful!
