From the Pastor's Desk

“The Sovereign Lord has given me an instructed tongue, to know the word that sustains the weary. He wakens me morning by morning, wakens my ear to listen like one being taught.”  Isa. 50:4.

Every believer discovers the ‘place of weariness’ in life’s journey.  Sometimes the weariness is not alleviated by a good night’s sleep…even if sleep takes place.

The promise above, tells us that often in this situation, we need ‘the word’ that sustains….”

If you fail to daily, take in the word and ‘listen’ to the message that that word is bringing to your life, you may be cancelling out what would give you the refreshing and the direction that you need.

If you don’t eat food, you will get weak and at some point, die of starvation.  Many believers are trying to live and live well on a ‘starvation diet.’  The Lord will give you an ‘instructed tongue,’ that is a mouth that knows what to speak about every situation.  He wakens you in the morning so that you can listen.  If you don’t get up to listen, you haven’t been truly ‘awakened’ yet.  You are spiritually, ‘sleep-walking.’

If you are in the ‘weary’ mode of life.  Stop and take that time to sit at His feet and listen. Then say what He has said.  His word…the word of life…will refresh and renew your inner man.  Back to full strength, get it into your life pattern.
