From the Pastor's Desk

“There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God; for anyone who enters God's rest also rests from his own work, just as God did from his. Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no-one will fall by following their example of disobedience.” Heb. 4:9-11.

There is a place in our relationship with God called, “rest.”  It is the manner of life in which we walk with God, so leaning on Him, so trusting in His promises, so listening to His voice, that we don’t strive, stress, worry or fret over anything.

We do this knowing He is leading us into green pastures, providing the ‘over the top’ victory in all of our battles and blessing us beyond the threats we face.  It is a place of peace—free from anxiety.  This ‘place,’ is the ‘place’ Christ shed His blood to secure for us and guarantee of all of His precious promises.  He sealed His covenant of promise with His own life blood!

Now, you can see why He was angry that there were some who ignore what He has done in their behalf and live as though it never occurred.  They don’t take advantage of the life He provided for them and instead ‘try to make it on their own.”  There is so much more for each one of us to enter into of the “Promised Land” or ‘land of promises!”  Dig out the promises.

Make a decision that you are going to live ‘there’ in that land, that place and experience of living.  You are saying in effect to God, “God, thank you soooooooo much!”
